Can't deploy program to bpibit

Using the USB option, I can run the program on the pbibit, however, it won't run without the computer.
Deploy only works with WiFi - can't copy file onto device via USB like you can with micro:bit and most Arduinos, I get a message that the deploy via WiFi worked (some of the times, other times it fails), however, program won't run on the device.
