Expose loyalty points update intent to other apps

Is there a way to do update loyalty points from outside the app, such as through a public intent? The use case would be another app, like Tasker, monitoring for purchase notifications at a vendor and calculating the change in loyalty points to update to Catima. This would even work if people share joint bank accounts (and loyalty cards).

In #1121 a read-only content provider got added to Catima. Perhaps someone with more experience in providers can make that read-write optionally? That way it would be secure too (apps would need to request permission to do so). I don't know anything about Tasker though, so can't really say if it'd help with that.

I think Tasker just allows you to type in any intent and call it programmatically (presumably with permissions). If I know the full name of the intent, I should simply be able to call it, but I don’t know what the one that does points updates is called. Presumably something like me.hackerchick.catima.UpdatePointsIntent. If I know what it is, and it isnʼt locked behind permissions (don’t know much about Android permissions myself, tbh), then I specify it to Tasker to call. Afaik, that’s how it works. I did it successfully this way with another app.
