Non-functionin Eye Tracking on XR-4 starting with units sold after March 25th #5

Varjo has announced that advanced Eye Tracking features (and this includes Eye Openness and Pupil Size) will be locked behind the "Varjo Base Pro" subscription/licensing scheme.

As the VRCFT Varjo Module currently only supports the gaze API with these "advanced" features, it will stop working on XR-4 headsets sold after March 25th without the purchase of this extra license.

It remains to be seen if Varjo will offer an API to check if the endpoint currently used for eye tracking is available to use with VB 4.10 or not.
If no such API will be provided by Varjo then a manual toggle in the Config would likely be the result to support those headsets.

I should reiterate that this will not be a problem for any Varjo headset sold before March 25th. If you have a Varjo Aero/VR-3/XR-3 or already owned an XR-4 before that date, you will not have this issue!
