This is a public discussion to explore D.T as an API specification where D.T isn't an actual implementation running on any specific platform (i.e., WordPress), but rather it's an API specification defining endpoints and data expectations. This would enable anyone to implement D.T however they would like (i.e., Cloud serverless) so long as they conformed to the endpoint and data standards. We would provide a set of tests which could be run to determine compliance (and also double as QA for D.T). We would provide at least 1 official implementation (WordPress), and we could also provide other "official" implementations where we would seek to offer "one-click" deployment solutions (AWS CloudFormation Templates, Terraform, Docker).
