Uprading this to EE 3+

Are there any plans to upgrade this to EE 3 or later, so someone who is already on EE 3+ can migrate to Grid or Relationships? If they missed this boat when upgrading to EE 3 they are kind of stuck.

We have a project in the near future that may require this to be EE5 compatible. I'd like to find out an answer to this as well :)

I would like to be able to use this on an EE6 site. I've tried Brian's fork, but I get Table 'local.exp_channel_grid_field_' doesn't exist when I try to run it.
