Action Performed:

Preconditions: User A pays an expense in a 1:1 conversation ( + button -> Pay ...)
User B: receives an Email about the paid expense and has already logged in to the app before

1. Navigate to the paid Email
2. Tap on the Open in Expensify button

Expected Result:

The app opens the paid expense from user A

Actual Result:

The app crashes, or the Classic app opens with an error: "Oop! Looks like that report no longer exists"

ugggh, got hung up trying to access email for test account on phone (then then open the app once I click it)

Preconditions are the same as OP.

iOS steps

1. Install the production app on a physical iOS device.
2. Log in with the payment receiver's account.
3. Tap the link in the email.

Actual result: The app crashes,

Android steps

1. Install the HybridApp.
2. Log in with the payment receiver's account.
3. Enable all domains in System settings > Apps > Expensify Dev > Open by default > Add link.
4. Copy the link into the Messages app.
5. Tap the link and choose the Expensify icon.

Actual result: The app is not responding or crashes.
