Lockscreen never turn off using timer

Steps to reproduce the bug

Just start a timer, turn screen off, and lockscreen will show timer icon blinking on the lock screen and the screen never shut off during the timer period.

Expected behavior

Timer icon show on lockscreen for a few seconds and then phone screen turn off.
If i lift phone, lockscreen show with timer icon, and if i put down phone again, phone screen should turn off again after a few seconds.

Actual behavior

Lockscreen is on for duration of timer

It's customizable:

Fossify Clock ➜ Settings ➜ General ➜ Prevent phone from sleeping while the app is in foreground

Please disable this option and try again.

I have tried that setting.
It did not work
Screen never turns off like other apps of similar type.

I've noticed it too, on Moto G15 (Android 15), also regardless of the "Prevent phone from sleeping" option.
But instead of just an icon (like on Galaxy A12), a full notification tile with a running timer is shown on the lock screen, so I though it's a feature.

Of course disabling "Wake screen for notifications" in Lock Screen settings does the trick, but it's a nuclear option.
However, disabling "Notifications -> Clock -> Stopwatch/Timer -> Lock Screen -> Don't show notifications at all" removes the tile from the lock screen completely.
Hmm, so maybe it can be considered a feature after all, at least on devices where the full tile is displayed..? EDIT: After giving it some thought, probably not. ;)
