Steps to reproduce the bug

1. Create a local contact with Nickname: TestA, Company: TestCompany, Number (of any type): 123.
2. Create a local contact with Nickname: TestB, Company: TestCompany, Number (of any type): 456.

Expected behavior

Two different contacts are shown in the contact list, search results, etc.

Actual behavior

There is one contact shown as "Test", with two phone numbers — 123 and 456. If I start editing it, I get "Select account" with two "Phone storage" options. Only after selecting one of those two optiojs, I see the respective contact with its nickname and phone number.

The stock Contacts app, as well as DW Contacts and, interestingly enough, Right Contacts all immediately show two different contacts: TestA, its number being 123, and TestB, its number being 456.

Thank you, I did it right now. Two additional comments though. First, those unmerged contacts are both shown as "TestCompany" in the list (unlike those other apps, where they are shown as TestA and TestB), which is quite inconvenient. Second, I believe it is fundamentally wrong to treat such contacts as duplicates. The only thing they have in common is the company name (TestCompany). Since they both have nicknames, — and I believe that a nickname is semantically part of an individual's personal name, not part of any corporate designation, — neither TestA nor TestB should be treated as a corporate entity (TestCompany) but as two distinct individuals within that TestCompany.

It would be great to consider these improvements.

• Typically, the display logic should follow this hierarchy: First Name + Last Name → Nickname → Organization.
• If two individuals lack formal names but have distinct nicknames (TestA and TestB), the app should prioritize the nicknames. Displaying the company name instead of a unique nickname makes the contact list entry meaningless.

Furthermore:

• If an entry contains only a company name, it is a "Corporate Contact" (e.g., a general support line).
• However, if a nickname is present, the contact should automatically be categorized as a "Personal Contact."

Summary:

• Fix the algorithm: Add the "Nickname" field to the list of criteria that define a contact as unique.
• Adjust the display name logic: If First/Last names are missing, use the Nickname as the primary header instead of the Company name.
