Change source for Signal & cert error?

For a few days now, the Github Signal release repository has contained apk files (only the source code used to be).
Currently, version 7.20.2 is available on https://signal.org/android/apk/, while Github has version 7.22.0 (a few versions ahead)
Maybe it's worth updating the configuration to download from Github?

BTW:
I'm having trouble reading the certificate fingerprint of both downloaded versions
apksigner verify --print-certs -v reports error:

DOES NOT VERIFY
ERROR: APK Signature Scheme v3 signers supported min/max SDK versions do not cover the entire desired range.  Found min:  24 max 32
WARNING: APK Signature Scheme v3 signer #1: Unknown additional attribute: ID 0x559f8b02

Hi, I actually opened an issue in the main Obtainium repo recently (ImranR98/Obtainium#1928) so yes I think it is a good idea to update the config. Edit: done in #277

In terms of verifying the certificate, it works fine when I use App Verifier.

I am also a supporter of giving the user freedom of choice (i.e. two buttons with source selection)

@Hamster45105 I had originally noted that I thought the Signal Github configuration was simple. I don't think the one from the website is simple (because it's not so easy to find) and would consider adding it.

@DwainZwerg Unfortunately it is still not resolved. Now I checked github version 7.25.0 and still the same error.

@DwainZwerg Honestly, I don't want to waste my energy and time on Signal.
I've reported many issues/bugs/ideas to them and they haven't been resolved or even commented on.
This messenger has been getting worse since it became "famous and big" and behaves like a typical BigTech.
I got out and temporarily moved to Molly. In the meantime, I'm looking for something new.
