Can't run heif-converter-linux on Alma Linux 8.10 #54

Description

I'm trying to use the failsafe for Samsung Generated Heic images by doing the steps since im getting this error:

error reading "meta" box: got box type "mdat" instead

I did my best to manually install libheif, and tried running the executable in:

/vendor/maestroerror/heif-converter/bin/heif-converter-linux

but unfortunately I keep getting this error due to the fact that this version of Alma Linux doesn't have this high version of the package its requesting yet:

./vendor/maestroerror/heif-converter/bin/heif-converter-linux: /lib64/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.34' not found (required by ./vendor/maestroerror/heif-converter/bin/heif-converter-linux)

Although, I can confirm, libheif did succesfully compile.

Any suggestions please? Is there a way to recompile this binary to meet my requirements instead?

Help is appreciated. I really like this package and would love to continue using it 🙏 .
