[JOSS Review]: Figure axes hidden in dark mode

This is indeed unfortunate. Do you have an idea for an elegant solution?

Without having to change pomme I think you could use ax = plt.gca() and then ax.set_facecolor("white") within your jupyter notebook cells. You could also create a function that is called at the end of each plotting cell to remove duplicated lines.
