Why is the "Chase the gunman" mission so difficult???

The gunman's car drives like a tank, it's impossible to hit it, it's impossible to catch up, me and my friend spent about two hours just on this mission, and neither of us managed to pass it. I guess we're not the only ones who couldn't get through it. It's impossible.

Please MAKE THE GUNMAN'S CAR SLOWER, otherwise the game becomes impossible for the average person. This is not what was the in the original Driver 2 game.

I was able to complete the mission just fine, even if it's more difficult than your average mission. I'm not sure if it's actually harder than on a PS1, but the lack of framerate drops might make it seem like the AI is faster even though your own car is also faster (since the PS1 version slows down when there are framerate drops).

The lack of framerate drops might make the mission overall harder due to the faster pace (therefore making your reaction time seem worse in comparison, since time goes by faster).
