Transmog Display + Blizzlike Transmog

Does regular transmog works in conjunction with blizzlike transmog? I know that reforge and transmog work together no issues but after looking at the code, will these 2 transmog patches cause an issue for each other?

As it is now I am quite sure that regular transmog and transmog display do not work together.
And if they do, then they do not work well together (not as intended).
