The tab's name is weird!

It has enough space for untitled, but not for .profile (.pro...). It has enough space for .bashrc and .bash_logout, but not .bash_profile (.bash_pro...). It has enough space for MyFirstApp.h, but not for compile_flags.txt (compile_flags...). Why?

It seems that something is wrong with your local configuration, that's not how it behaves by default, the ellipsis (...) is applied based on the max-tab-width, it's default is 200dp (which is 200px for the default pixel-density scale).

You can control these settings with:

UI font size and the UI scale factor, UI Font are going to affect when the ellipsis is applied. But by default this is within a reasonable length (I very rarely see any tab with the ellipsis).

The problem seems to be only with files with a dot in their names, e.g: .profile, .bash_profile.

Oh that explains it. I sent a fix although I insist that the text-shaper is very far from ready and not really ready for daily usage. And also it will be re-implemented from scratch since it's really not correctly implemented.

Also another clarification: You don't need text-shaping capabilities for Chinese or Vietnamese. I strongly recommend you to not use the text-shaper in its current state.

OK. I will turn off text sharping. BTW, my language is neither Vietnamese nor Chinese. Sometimes I have to open texts with Chinese characters mostly because I downloaded software from Chinese sites. I turned on text sharping to help you test it. But as you said, you will reimplement it, I will turn off it for now.
