Disable children embed in parent

How to disable children notes to be previewed in the parent note.

@dosu I'm not sure you understood the problem. So I have a text note as parent and some canvas notes as children and the canvases appear embedded in the parent note. Can I disable this?

Trilium does not automatically embed child canvas notes in a parent text note just because they are children. Canvas notes (or any child notes) only appear embedded in the parent if you explicitly add an "Include Note" block to the parent note's content—usually via the editor's toolbar or by pasting an include block. There is no built-in setting or attribute to globally disable this behavior, because embedding is always a manual action, not automatic. If you want to remove an embedded canvas, just delete the "Include Note" block from the parent note's content. Details in the user guide.

@dosu, you missed this one. The OP is asking here about the note list, which is a preview of children at the bottom of a note. It is possible to disable it via #hideChildrenOverview like @rodrigoalexandrecosta mentioned.

You're right—applying the #hideChildrenOverview label to a parent note in Trilium disables the automatic note list preview of its children at the bottom of that note.
