For Python versions 3.11 and above, the official macOS universal2 Python binaries are downloaded directly from python.org and then archived for distribution and installation, as described in our documentation: Building installation packages.

Regarding Python 3.12.11, according to the official release page (python-31211), there are currently no binaries released for macOS for this specific version. This is why the manifest only lists support for Linux platforms and not for macOS.
