Hi everyone,
I wanted to ask a general question about pull request reviews and automation.
For maintainers and frequent reviewers here: have you found PR review bots helpful in practice, or do they sometimes add more noise than signal? I’m especially curious about experiences with tools that comment inline vs tools that summarize changes.
I’m exploring a review approach that stays quiet by default and only goes deeper when explicitly requested, mainly to understand whether this kind of restraint is actually useful for real projects.
If anyone is open to experimenting, this can be tested without cost using free or lightweight models, and only on a single PR. No workflow changes required, and it’s easy to remove if it gets in the way.
Mostly looking to learn from real-world experiences. Happy to just listen.
Thanks for your time and for maintaining this project.
