Consistent digital channel settings across multiple instruments #2004

The Logic Analyzer allows you to assign meaningful names to digital channels. But these names are not carried over to other instruments where they would also be useful. For example, when using the Oscilloscope in mixed signal view you can only see the DIO number, not the assigned name.
Describe the solution you'd like
Ideally, it would be nice if you could assign the settings for a digital channel in any instrument that uses them and have it carry across all those instruments. That would include: name, color, trace height and trigger and these would apply across the Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, Pattern Generator and Digital I/O instruments (where appropriate - since the trigger has no relevance, for example, to the Digital I/O or Pattern Generator instruments).
