Ansys Python manager issues

🔍 Before submitting the issue

• I have tried the latest Ansys Python Installer version
• I have adapted properly the title of the issue

Description

1/ when launching the manager, il flickers for a few seconds before opening

2/ when user manually updates the manager from File / Check for updates, the shortcuts in All Programs is not updated, so it still opens the previous version. Shouldn't the update actually remove the older version ? So it seems to be best to uninstall and install again. I did not check with the latest installer as it can not be updated

Hi @derfmy - we can try to have a look at point 1 to understand why it might flicker. Thanks for bringing it up.

And regarding point 2, the older version should be uninstalled in fact, and the new one updated. If that's not the case, we need to investigate this.

1/ if you have problem to reproduce it I can show you. A colleague has the same.
2/ I had an older version that was installed in Program Files, the newer one is in Program Files (x86), may be that is why is was not deleted...
