how to create_keys_and_certificate and specify region?

With the aws cli one can create keys and certificates by:
aws iot create-keys-and-certificate --no-set-as-active --region eu-west-1

but with the iot client it only expect setAsActive

client = boto3.client('iot')

response = client.create_keys_and_certificate(
        setAsActive=False
 )

Is there a way to do it in specific region?

I have found a workaround, which could be is how it meant to be used as boto3 client is "low-level interface to AWS".
Anyway, instantiate the client with a specific region; then all you do with it will be done in that region.

from botocore.config import Config
my_config = Config(
        region_name = eu-west-1
    )
client = boto3.client('iot', config=my_config)
