detection_threshold doesn't do anything?

HI there, awesome gem. I've been playing with the detection_threshold parameter, and it seems to have no effect. Testing with the following file - http://api.twilio.com/2010-04-01/Accounts/AC71ed9948a8b50bcbe71daceb6e1841af/Recordings/RE1b0ba7627f011c37db73e7192cc4af6d.wav, I set the detection_threshold to 0.01, .1, .2, .99, and 1000, with no change to the resulting segments or speakers. Any idea of what I am doing wrong?
