Future compatibility with vbf 3.0 CAN_STANDARD format

Hi, 
I wonder if it would be possible to make the tool compatible with the vbf 3.0 version, like the fiesta mk8 ipc has.
I know it's not compatible now but, is there any possiblilty to do it? how can we help? what type of research is needed?
