can i install an old insight version without loosing the mongodb data

hi,
with the insight 8.9 api or the bitcore api there is now way to get the direct response to the value without parsing

like with the old insight i want get the /balance /totalrecived /.... that give directly the value not like the new one that give full detail

so if i install an old insight will it sync with the mongodb and use the database? or i have to resync it again? or it will not work?
