Analytics: Plausible

I have recently removed the unused GoSquared and unused, outdated Google Analytics integrations, which makes it clear that we have no analytics for this app.

@till suggested to me that we try out Plausible for analytics.

Now that codebar is a registered charity and can receive money and spend its own money, I think we should consider using better solutions like Plausible.

While we can probably talk Plausible into giving us their service for free, I think that we should support small businesses by spending money with them.

Being a paying customer means that our access won't suddenly get cut off as we've seen with other vendors this year, and we're less likely to be put into the bottom of the pile of support requests.

I'd love to hear @KimberleyCook's opinion on this proposal, since it involves spending a little money.

I am more than happy to change analytics provider, always worth trying new technologies. I'd be keen to try and get them for free if possible though as we don't have a lot of spare cash at the moment unfortunately :(

They have a 30 day free trial. I'm happy to ask them for a longer trial, since we're (mostly) not doing this as our day jobs.
