Compile CLLE streamfile source files

Hello,
I get error CPF4102 while compiling .CLLE source stream files , it works on .SQLRPGLE source stream files.

Hi,
can you share your compile action output and Code for IBM i output after the compilation action fails?

Are you using one of the pre-defined actions or do you a one you added?

@M11VCS CPF4102 is "File &2 in library &3 with member &4 not found.", so your action for streamfiles of type clle is not correct. You must use the SRCSTMF on the CRTBNDCL command in the action, like this:

?CRTBNDCL PGM(&BUILDLIB/&NAME) SRCSTMF('&FULLPATH') OPTION(*EVENTF) DBGVIEW(*SOURCE)

This was not changed in the last update, so you better check your log as @sebjulliand suggested to see what is run on the server when you compile your source...

HI, Just to let you know that it works fine for SQLRPGLE types, error  is raised for DSPF and CLLE types only. Furthermore when I run  “work with actions” and click on SAVE , it doesn’t save setting.json file. I had to manually edit it . It looks like you have a corrupted setting.json file... manually editing this file is dangerous and should be avoided if possible, since a simple typo can make VS Code behave erratically.

Your initial symptoms indicates that the JSON is not correct regarding which actions is allowed for which source type - member or streamfile. And if SAVE of changed actions does not work, the settings JSON is almost certainly corrupted.

Cleaning up the actions in the settings file is tricky - the best option is probably to get a copy of the settings file from a colleague, remove the section in the JSON containing the actions and insert the section from the settings file from your colleague.

Or you can find the default action settings in the Code for IBM i repository on GitHub and replace your section with the default from GitHub.

Validating the settings JSON could also be an option - you could paste your file into one of the online JSON validators, e.g. https://jsonlint.com/...

Hi , Thank you for your support. I just replaced my settings.json file with the one in Github. I checked  my original settings.json file online and it was valid anyway. In "work with Actions" Save button is not working as before, even after uploading the one in GitHub as per your suggestion. When I compile .clle files I can’t select  CRTBNDCL option either.  But it;s there. For *rpgle* files I have such option. I found that the problem was in makefile (that I have never changed in the last three months , and it was just for .cmd extension ). I had to add OPTION(*EVENTF) to the .clle matching.
