Hi everyone 👋,
We’re reaching out to the .NET community with an urgent request for help maintaining Coverlet — one of the most widely used open-source code coverage tools in the .NET ecosystem.
Coverlet has been a key part of many CI/CD pipelines and developer workflows, but like many community-driven projects, it needs more hands-on support to keep up with the pace of .NET updates, bug fixes, and feature requests.
💡 We’re looking for:
• Contributors to help with:
o Reviewing and merging pull requests
o Fixing bugs and triaging issues
o Improving documentation and examples
o Testing compatibility with the latest .NET releases
• Reviewers/Maintainers to help ensure quality and guide the project’s direction.
🧩 Skills that would help
• Experience with .NET (especially testing frameworks)
• Familiarity with MSBuild, instrumentation, or code coverage tools
• Prior open-source contribution experience (not required but helpful!)
❤️ Why your help matters
Coverlet is used by thousands of developers worldwide to ensure test quality and maintain reliable software. With your help, we can keep it up-to-date, performant, and easy to use for the .NET community.
If you’re interested in contributing or reviewing, please:
• Comment below or open a “I’d like to help” issue/discussion
• Join the conversation in existing PRs or issues
Let’s keep this important tool alive and thriving together 💪
Thank you for your time and support — every contribution counts!
