Why it needs to be validated

When there is long list of files present in /firmware/tmp/ dir. When bootx tries to do rm -rf. * on this dir the list is too big and it fatals out.
This will cause bootx service to crash and apic will not be bootstrapped. it will be stuck in bash prompt
