Enterprise WSDL - Schema Changes

I'm curious to understand how to manage SFDC schema changes. My understanding is that the Enterprise WSDL would need to be updated after each field creation, change, or deletion. Any thoughts on this?

as per the sales force doc, if you use enterprise wsdl, then it needs to be updated whenever schema changes. if you use partner wsdl, then you need not. However, i have not tested the partner wsdl with this tool.

@dandydev Hi Dan, let's suppose we have run the init command for few record types. and import was successful. now the schema gets changed. So, as per my understanding , we need to obtain new enterprise wsdl from sales force. Now, how will the update command work for incremental approach? Will it just work fine with new wsdl?
