FWIW, I feel your frustrations too. I often wish I had better documentation, and I find myself vaguely recalling that I had a tool that does such and such, but have to resort to reading the source code to find out what it actually does and what the args are and what it returns. And, of course, being scientific code, it is subject to constant experimentation, trying new ways of doing things, revising, fixing problems, etc. Show me a science lab that does even better at documenting their internal tools. Sheesh! But life is just too short, and too many hills remain to be climbed. So I relent, and continue onward in my journey of discovery… - DM
