[Question]: Can BOOT env variable be used to boot from MacOS9Lives ISO?

I noticed in that the QEMU version, it offers BOOT env variable to select image name or to post Image URL. Could Environment variables for MacOS be VERSION allow for 9 and then BOOT be set to url like http://files.macos9lives.com/MacOS%20Operating%20Systems/Mac%20OS%209.2.2%20Universal%20Install/MacOS%20922%20Universal.iso?

I was able to boot to recovery with VERSION: 11; BOOT: ttp://files.macos9lives.com/MacOS%20Operating%20Systems/Mac%20OS%209.2.2%20Universal%20Install/MacOS%20922%20Universal.iso, yet when I attempt to Erase Disk and format as MacOS Extended, I get 'Erase process has failed' error:

Erasing "Apple Inc. VirtIO Block Media" (disk0) and creating "MacOS9"
Unmounting disk
Creating the partition map
POSIX reports: The operation couldn't be completed. Input/output error. : (5)
Operation failed...

I have rebuilt the container with lower specs. Will see if it boots.

Every attempt, even with normal settings, is resulting in the same error. I am still interested in addressing this question, yet now this has become a technical issue and I will work on that for a bit. I had initially gotten it to run on the Primary storage drive and have since switched to a secondary device, that is when I started seeing the error.

I had to install docker-volume-local-persist so that I could use attached drives beyond the primary drive (which was too small for the image). I am testing the install to OS 11 now and then will see if I can rebuild the container for OS 9.

You can boot the container with custom .dmg files like this:

    volumes:
      - ./custom.dmg:/boot.dmg

However in your case it's an .iso and not a .dmg file, so I have not added support for that.
