Cannot get C++ exceptions to work

I am running the std::stoll function to convert a string to a 64 bit int (long long). Despite the fact that I have added -DPIO_FRAMEWORK_ARDUINO_ENABLE_EXCEPTIONS and -fexceptions (compiler told me to do so) to my build_flags, the MCU crashes when I provide this function with a non-number string. The catch should catch all possible exceptions. Any ideas?

I just did a quick test in the IDE with exceptions enabled and it is working, so this is either an unhandled exception type in your code (which will panic the core) or a P.IO build issue. If you have a PicoProbe, hook it up and and you should see the panic text in the where call stack as an argument if it's the former.
