Rpi Debug probe failing to upload to Pico every second time.

I've been using a rpi debug probe for sometime to quickly upload files. Since the update to v5.0 the upload fails every second time with a checksum error.

If I upload again everything works. I'm using mac osx.

Any ideas please.

There were no changes to OpenOCD or the script it uses to upload in 5.0. Are you using a real Raspberry Pi Pico or a clone?

I can't repro any issues on the Pico 2 here w/OpenOCD. The upload verification is 100% in the control of OpenOCD and the DebugProbe, so there's nothing we can do here to make it fail. Plus, there's nothing changed in the executable or the parameters w/5.0.0.

I'd check physical things at this point. I'd suggest first using a different USB cable and port for the Pico2. If the DUT (Pico2) has a power glitch it could cause the OpenOCD operation to fail. If a different port and cable don't affect it, then another DebugProbe would be in order. You can flash a plain Pico1 and use 3 jumper wires to connect it, that's what I've been doing since the original PicoProbe firmware came out.
