Space Preferences don't work with the new room list

Steps to reproduce

1. Space Panel > <Space> > ... > Preferences
2. Toggle Sections to show > People

Outcome

What did you expect?

The effect to happen immediately. Also based on the wording, a section to appear, but those don't exist in the new room list.

What happened instead?

The effect didn't happen until I changed space away and back

Additionally, if you have that checkbox unchecked, clicking People within the relevant space gives a confusing empty state

florian will be preparing a PR that will be a temporary fix (as spaces and the logic will change in the future)

for now we will associate the preference with the filter.
