Description
- Currently, color is used to differentiate email senders (red = Cornell address; green = gmail, hotmail, yahoo; etc). Add ornaments to the ships to more clearly represent sender domain (e.g., perhaps a small antenna with the Yahoo logo on it or the Gmail logo, etc).
- Add a star icon ornament to enemy ship if that email is marked important or starred
Add ornaments to enemy ship to indicate various aspects of that sender:
- Contact indicator. (Add an ornament if that sender is in the player's contacts)
- Most contacted. (if in the "Most Contacted" circle)
- Friend. (if in the "Friends" contacts circle)
- Family. (if in the "Family" contacts circle)
- Starred. (if in Contacts and Starred — note, should be a different ornament than if mail is starred).
- Separate ship type for Spam email — perhaps a crumpled piece of paper or some other intuitively obvious floating ball of trash.
(Cmail users can also specify various spam-handling settings — e.g., Liz has least strict spam filtering option selected. For users with a stricter spam setting, they wouldn't even have those spams available at all though, even in a Spam folder? Think about how that may differently affect possible gameplay, particularly enemy appearance, for users with different spam settings).
Jon, it would be great if you could design these indicators that would be affixed to ships. Ship sprites are in images/ folder. Perhaps design a few options and post here? Then we can choose which ornaments we want to use and others can work on displaying this larger range of enemies within the game.
