Deathmatch not setting itself up properly

Hi there. I am using FBCA being part of Nquake.
When I type bot_arena, map changes to Amphi, but deathmatch stays at 1.
If I change to deathmatch 4 and restart map, deathmatch is still 1.
Same for other maps. Default deathmatch settings are ignored.
I can't change the deathmatch mode.
Is it only my problem?
