App always takes very long before showing any articles

I'm using latest version (1.6.7) of the Geekttrss app from Google Playstore. My tt-rss server is via docker (cthulhoo/ttrss-fpm-pgsql-static).

Every time I open up the app, I can instantly the the number of new articles on the feeds menu

but for example in "All Articles" I'm only getting a spinner that works for 5-10 minutes,

Whenever I open the app I always go through all of the unread articles and eighter read them directly or put them into favorites (for later reading), so that all articles are marked as read when I close the app again.

I'm not getting any errors in the logs of the tt-rss server.
