Describe the Bug

I want to have Floccus save the "bookmarks.xbel" file to a specific directory on my Google Drive instead of the default root directory of my Google drive. I've tried various methods to make this possible, but Floccus refuses to place the "bookmarks.xbel" anywhere on my Google drive except the default. I've tried "" and "/" in the floccus bookmark file locate such as "\Folder\bookmarks.xbel," "/Folder/bookmarks.xbel," "Folder\bookmarks.xbel," and "Folder/bookmarks.xbel." All these error out in floccus during sync. I have also tried the following "Folder>bookmarks.xbel," but floccus just names the file "Folder>bookmarks.xbel" and drops it in the the default Googel drive directory anyway. I have tried all this methods with a pre-existing directory name "Folder" and also tried to get floccus to create the non-existent director on Google drive - none of these work .

Expected Behavior

The user should be able to tell floccus to place the bookmarks.xbel in a specifcc Google drive folder that is designated by the user.

To Reproduce

Try to configure any of the following Google drive file folder/file name directives in the "bookmark file" configuration section of floccus:

"\Folder\bookmarks.xbel,"
"/Folder/bookmarks.xbel,"
"Folder\bookmarks.xbel,"
"Folder/bookmarks.xbel."
"Folder>bookmarks.xbel,"

You have made the right choice to come here and open an issue to make sure your problem gets looked at and if possible solved. I currently work for Nextcloud which leaves me with less time for side projects like this one than I used to have. Nobody here is under any obligation to help you, solve your problems or deliver on any expectations or demands you may have, but if enough people come together we can collaborate to make this software better. Could you try moving the file to the desired folder in Google Drive after it has been created by floccus? It should then remain where you put it. theoretically. But I agree, ideally, you should be able to select the folder where you want it.

Thank you for the quick response. I have no doubt the file will remain where I manually place it on Google drive, but that will just cause the next floccus sync event to create a new file in the root directory. This would mean that after time, the one I moved will become stale and not that useful if needed for a backup...... unless, of course, I manually move the file on a schedule. It would be very nice if floccus, on its own, could place the file where we direct it to, but I know you're busy and I'm thankful you done so much already. I found a Google docs spreadsheet script app that does what I need. The script runs a scheduled backup of the floccus db file and places that in a Drive folder that I can use with my on-prem backup solution. I use my TrueNAS server to run a "pull" and copy of the Gdrive backup folder used by the excel app script. The reason I do it this way is because my on-prem backup scheme will only do a pull from the folder level on Gdrive, not specific files. Since floccus drops the "current" db in the Gdrive root, I would have to use my on-prem scheme to backup all the files in my Gdrive root..... not very practical. I like automation, so I'm happy with the current setup I have. I just gave up xbrowser for floccus because of it's incompatibility issues. I hope floccus sticks around for a long time. I'd happily pay for a polished, multiple browser sync functionality and floccus is the best one out there. Kind regards
