Inline blame disappears within seconds of starting the extension

Description

Installed the extension, blame appears for a couple seconds and goes away. I do have Show git blame information for each line enabled.

• Tried reinstalling multiple times.
• Tried disabling zen mode

Steps to reproduce:

1. Install extension on ssh remote instance of vscode
2. Enable show git blame if not already
3. Check inline blame disappear on the editor

Local machine:
MacOS 12 Intel

Remote machine:
AL2x64 - It's an AWS c5 large instance.

Can you please enable debug logging by running the GitLens: Enable Debug Logging command from the Command Palette (F1 or ctrl/cmd+shift+p). This will enable logging to the GitLens & GitLens (Git) channels in the Output pane.

Once enabled, please reproduce the issue, and attach the logs from the GitLens channel, and if its Git related please also attach the logs from the GitLens (Git) channel.

I think I got it. It showed "not a git repository" in the logs. My vscode workspace consists of 2 different git repos. When I opened each repo in a separate workspace, GitLens blame worked fine.

On another note, can we have inline blame when the workspace has multiple repos in it?

@kedar-s GitLens supports workspaces with multiple repos -- so there must be something else going wrong. Can you provide logs for the issue you are seeing? Thanks!

I had this in the Gitlens section of the Output panel:

git rev-parse --show-toplevel • Command failed: /usr/bin/git -c core.quotepath=false -c color.ui=false rev-parse --show-toplevel • detected dubious ownership in repository at '/srv/service' • To add an exception for this directory, call: •  • 	git config --global --add safe.directory /srv/service

/srv/service is a directory inside a devcontainer. The command git config --global --add safe.directory /srv/service and a restart of VSCode seems to have brought back the line blame. (I fear, however, that the git config will disappear when I rebuild the container.)
