Provide more context about the error `GHCup-00040` (not found)

When I run the following I get an error:

$ ghcup --no-verbose list -t hls -c installed -r
[ Error ] [GHCup-00040] Unable to figure out the distribution of the host

The [GHCup-00040] part is a link to https://errors.haskell.org/messages/GHCup-00040, following the link results in a 404:

I'm trying to understand what's wrong with my installation. I only see this issue on the VSCode terminal but the ticket is more about the missing info about the error itself, what does it mean?.

When running:

$ ghcup --no-verbose whereis stack 3.5.1

I get another error code which also doesn't exist: https://errors.haskell.org/messages/GHCup-00130

These error codes exist, they just don't have proper documentation yet. It is the goal to gradually add them over time.

What is the output when running these commands without, --no-verbose, e.g.:

I had the same output, no additional information was given.

BTW I resolved my issue, it was some weird AppImage environment only present in the VSCode (CursorAI) terminal, code-cursor from nixpkgs at this rev: github:NixOS/nixpkgs?rev=a676066377a2fe7457369dd37c31fd2263b662f4 where HLS won't work (nor ghcup), updating to the version in 30e2e2857ba47844aa71991daa6ed1fc678bcbb7 did not have this issue.

I guess the intention of this ticket is to add the missing documentation for those error codes, or I could help debugging if you want to chase this further.
