Adding HW 1 Phase kWh meters

The problem

I have a lot of troubleshooting this morning with adding HomeWizard kWh meters into HA. Firmware 5.011. Local API off (on advise).

Before connecting with in 30 seconds you have to push on the buttons from the kWh meter for authentication. That goes wrong serveral times. Direct after accepting the authentication i saw a message that i must again authenticate the meter to HA. A loop. After serveral tries HA accepted the meter. Not as an kWh meter but as an energysocket.

I installed 2 meters. De second one had no problems. Firmware 5.011 also.

I have an 1 phase kWh meter firmware 4.06 version who now also askes for authentication. Checking the device..... it has upgrade to 5,011. By it self. Authentication went oke. So 2 out of 3 okey now. One after issues.

I uninstalled the first one sereral times from the energy app (HW).

• Can you add https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/homewizard/ under "Link to integration documentation on our website"? Maybe it does not work anymore, but the bot uses that to assign the correct integration to the issue. Otherwise, a mod will probably help with this.
• Can you send diagnostic files for all relevant devices, please do this before you update Home Assistant (and possible also after)?

Many integrations provide the ability to download diagnostic data. It would really help if you could download the diagnostics data for the device you are having issues with and drag-and-drop that file into the textbox below. It generally allows pinpointing defects and thus resolving issues faster.

• As mentioned on Tweakers, support for the kWh Meter was added in 2025.7; you seem to use 2025.2. We always assume the user has the latest version.

Are there no any private data in that kind of file(s)? So when i drop this here it's oke. I see in the code some private things. For example car references.

I think it goes wrong in the HW app also. HA shows import and export. The app doesn't.

Meter 1 the values dont change. Nr 2 no problems.
