Home Assistant Core Version

2025.9

Describe the bug
After updating from 2025.8.3 to 2025.9, I am unable to add mater thread accessories with the error:
Operation failed
Failed to store thread credential in keychain, error: Thread network credentials does not match with any of the active thread networks around. This error also occurs when I try to send credentials to my phone.

After doing this I try to download credentials to my phone and I get the same error. When I look at my thread credentials in the companion app debugging Thread thread credentials I get see the following:

But this is different from my current thread details on the home assistant border router. This was NOT the case before the upgrade.

To Reproduce
Unsure, this started happening after upgrading from 8.3 to 9, but I suppose...

  1. have a working setup of 2025.8.3 with several matter/thread devices in an existing network shared with apple home pods that is able to add matter/thread devices, Eve light switches specifically, and many other devices.
  2. Upgrade to 2025.9.0
  3. delete and add an existing thread matter eve device.
  4. the error mentioned about where credentials do not match appears.

Expected behavior
The device is added successfully and is controllable.
