Why does the README say Do NOT use the useTranslation export of react-i18next, but ONLY use the one from next-i18next?

Could anyone clarify why the documentation README says the following:

Do NOT use the useTranslation export of react-i18next, but ONLY use the one from next-i18next!

We have a project that uses react-i18next import instead of next-i18next and I would like to understand the implications of not importing from next-i18next.
