IBKR supports the Google 2FA as the security method, in addition to the original mobile app auth method.

Is it possible to integrate this feature to make the login process easier?

oh, interesting. It looks like that would be more a function of the gateway or TWS reading the extra user/client 2FA code at login time instead of any application though?

ib_async and other clients can only work after the gateway (or TWS) has already performed a successful login back to IBKR itself. Any login details never hit the clients or API-powered applications themselves.

actually you can choose one of two as your login method, it is not the EXTRA layer. I am thinking perhaps you can define your 2FA secret in the env variable so we can make login process smoothier

This looks more like an IBC enhancement than something that ib_async can/should support. Even for IBC this might not be possible, how to pass the code to IBC? or IBC should include the cryptographic primitives to get the code and enter it on ibgateway/TWS...
