Way Too Early Feature Request: Support \ Integration with...

I know this is a brand new project, but I like what you're doing. I could really see this being one of the top FOSS RSS tools, even in it's early stages of development, if the community is able to prioritize the support for most of the popular resources for those niche topics we love to follow so much. I would love to hear others opinions on sources to support, but if I had to choose a top 3 in order:

1. X \ Twitter — get post updates from users \ lists \ hashtags
   BONUS: If you are able to implement the same formula used for prioritizing Reddit posts by the amount of upvotes the same way for popular X \ Twitter posts as well... BOOM!

2. Telegram Channels — Same as above, but based on reactions.

3. GitHub RSS Feed Support - Based on Stars.

I really like the idea, just not a big Reddit guy for the things I like to follow (hacking, exploits, popular new FOSS tools, blackhat, cybersec and all the good stuff that places like Reddit, I would assume, would be heavily moderated.)

But regardless... I got you bookmarked and will likely be sponsoring you as well (cancer 3x and the forever issues it has treated me with takes most of my income, but I try to make my little $5/mo - $10/month sponsorships go a little further by sharing and bragging about them as much as I can, especially to self-hosted sites, newsletters, etc.)

I'm using it for X/Twitter and I did use it for Telegram at one point (both require an API token to be generated). HINT: If you go to Telegram's site to generate an API token, you must disable Ublock Origin or it will give a generic error

It also does have a section for GitHub.

The results are a bit mixed from their project but I still like it. It's pretty limited since you can't filter them down to a certain like count or anything (but I think this might be doable. It honestly is super easy to customize, you just edit the typescript file here and you can start poking around at what the Twitter API has. If you're savy at programming you could perform a filter there). But you can exclude replies / retweets and to only posts that include media. Which for me is fantastic since most people I follow are artist and I only want to see their media/art posts and don't care for other content.

I agree, RSSHub is great. I recommend hosting your own instance over using their public instance since it's down most of the time from too many people using it.

also just found rss bridge today. Which is also self-hostable

EDIT: checked out RSS bridge and I didn't find it useful for twitter (it's Reddit user RSS feed was better than the source Reddit user RSS feed, even supports having an upvote minimum). I did find a 3rd project which I found somewhat useful. It is a wrapper around Nitter where you enter a burner account and seems to have the best capacity for pulling data from twitter.

A little annoying that I've spun up like 8 services now to get an RSS going the way I like but whatever

Using Nitter can use a search feature generate a fine tuned feed which can filter out retweets, replies and set to media only.

Doesn't support a like threshold filter like you were requesting. I haven't found anything that does.

Thanks @rolltidehero for the suggestions for new platforms and @CodaBool for the shoutouts to RSSHub and RSS-Bridge. Those other projects are going to be your best bet at least in the short term. I really like the idea of following new GitHub projects with score filtering; I'll add that to the list of platforms I'm hoping to support in the future. Thanks!

@rolltidehero Bumping this thread you created a while back. As of v1.8.0 I've added support for GitHub, allowing you to subscribe to new trending repositories with optional language and topic filters. Take it for a spin!
