Feature request: move to Wagtail Snippet Views instead of ModelAdmin

Have there been any attempts or is there any plan to move to Wagtail Snippet Views from ModelAdmin? This will be more consistent in the future I think and gives more default options that are built-in to Wagtail Snippet Views, such as standardized exports and bulk actions.

We could also dive into this, but I'm curious if there were already plans for this or if there were some blockers/complex things to move there.
