Changes not persisting after booting to Windows then back to Linux

Describe the bug
When rebooting my laptop, the keyboard backlight goes back to default "breathe" pattern and color

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Open aurora and change keyboard backlight (e.g to "static" pattern)
2. Observe changes get applied
3. Reboot computer
4. Keyboard backlight goes back to "default" breathe pattern
5. Open aurora again
6. After opening aurora, it goes back to the "saved" changes

Expected behavior
Changes should persist even after reboot

Does this happened after a kernel update? Can you check the behavior in older kernel version?

This is after installing the program for the first time for me.

Either way, I did try downgrading my kernel version to linux-6.16.10.arch1-1-x86_64, and that did work. So I guess the issue must have appeared in version 6.17

My last message was wrong, I'll delete it and fully explain the issue now.

I should have mentioned, that my laptop is a dual-boot setup with windows. What is actually happening is that if I boot into Windows, Armoury Crate (the official app) must change the settings automatically and set them to the defaults, and when I boot back into Linux, it's using the settings that were overwritten by Windows.

I'm not really sure how aurora really works, but to solve this, could it be possible to add a command-line option that just applies the stored settings to the keyboard (something like aurora --apply-settings), that way I could set it up as a systemd service to run at boot?

Restoring settings using command line is not possible as the settings are stored in database. However I can modify the existing aurora-controller service used for threshold management to accommodate this change. I'll add an option for this in settings

Added an option in edit preference settings to enable a systemd service to retain AR settings. This option is disabled by default.
I dont have a dual-boot setup, so please check if the changes are persisting now when switching between OS

Weird, I don't see such an option, I only see this under "edit preferences":
