Viz Dashboard visualization for stat-(in|out)bound

Hello Linkerd community,
I followed linkerd documentation, and it is saying that HTTPRoute should be used instead of ServiceProfile to have per route metrics. When trying to verify this information in the viz dashboard I was unable to find, the route tab seems to only show information whenever there is Serviceprofile configured .
Anyone knows if there is any plan to make this stat-inbound and stat-outbound information visible in the viz dashbaord?
Or maybe it is there already and I am not being able to configure it properly.

Hi @kim-ae , your interpretation is correct. The linkerd viz dashboard only surfaces ServiceProfile data even thought that's no longer the recommended CRD. The Linkerd viz extension is currently not actively maintained and has issues when deployed on large clusters, so I'd recommend you don't depend on it. If you'd like to visualize HTTPRoute routing metrics besides the CLI, you should be able to consume the metrics in a query for say Grafana. Maybe someone in the community has a dashboard they'd be willing to share.

This is great to know, thanks a lot for the valuable information. Is there anywhere that mentions that viz extension is no longer maintained and should be avoided?

Nothing explicit yet. We're currently ironing out the plan for the upcoming observability improvements, and will be providing better communication around all this.
