Bug description

With text below icons, hovering the mouse over an item displays all the text, partially hiding the item below if necessary.

When the text is next to the icons and the mouse hovers over the item: the text is no longer truncated at the end, but text that extends beyond the designated area is not displayed, as if the text area had not been enlarged and there was an “overflow: hidden” setting.

Note that the '.end' is not visible in the second screenshot.

Steps to reproduce

In nemo: Edit > Preferences > Views > Icon View Defaults > Text beside icons.

Expected behavior

The full filename should appear, followed by any additional information as needed according to the current zoom and user preferences.
