Please add instructions for rendering Google Earth on the "Supported Map API Providers" wiki page.

I think the short answer to this will probably be "no" I'm afraid. From looking at the commit history for mxn.googlearth.core.js, it hasn't been touched for almost 3 years and even then it was at best a "bare bones" implementation.

From taking a look at the code itself, current support consists of little more than initialising the Google Earth plugin and setting the centre of the plugin's viewport.

There's no support for the other elements of a maps API that would put the current code implementation even close to on a par with the other supported providers.

Furthermore, even if someone wanted to take the time to bring Google Earth support up to date, there's very little else that could be added. The Google Earth API isn't a maps API per se, it's an API to a browser plugin that happens to do mapping visualisation. Google Earth doesn't support points, polygons, polylines or markers in anything approaching the same way as other maps APIs, including Google's own.

You could argue that an analog could be found to do something clever via KML files but I think that's pushing the correlation to a maps API to almost breaking point.

For all of this (and probably more), there's good reason why Google Earth support isn't in Mapstraction's documentation, on the Wiki or in the core tests.

My preference would be to obsolete support for Google Earth entirely rather than try and make an API that's not a maps API work like it is a maps API.
