That would be nice. I bought some to check if I could make work on Linux. The vendor has a solution based on this tool, but it just for Windows and I use Linux.

The best scenario would be the device is detected as a serial port, this way we only have to decode the serial protocol

I just discovered that the vendor solution really is a fork of this program 😄 the Python code to drive the screen is available here https://github.com/WeActStudio/WeActStudio.SystemMonitor/tree/main/library/lcd
So it should be easy to integrate

Nice. It's just 26 commits ahead, so some of them should be responsible for it. I won't try to create a PR because my Python knowledge is very basic.

It's a big one and include some binary files. I hope you can understand and add support to it.

@mhalano @flow23 can you test the branch dev/863-support-for-weact-display-fs-096-inch-usb-lcd-displays with your WeAct 0.96" display?
I've added support for both WeAct 0.96" and 3.5" displays, and 4 themes for the 0.96" model
I received my screens and tested on them, everything was working fine on my side!

EDIT: Nevermind. The theme was using backslashes instead of slashes, and I'm on Linux. I could get the first theme, the simpler one, work.

@mathoudebine Can you make the path for the fonts use slashes the same way the path for the images? I tested the second theme and the path for the image was ok, but not the path for the fonts.

Also rotate the screen would be nice, like the example 1, the second theme, is portrait format, but in my case is in the wrong side, so rotating 180 degrees would be nice.

Thank you for the feedback, I fixed the backslashes in themes. Can you test if the "Orientation" setting is working for 0°/180° rotation?
